Tim Reed (left) – Chicago co-city director

Tim is originally from Elgin, IL, a suburb of Chicago. However, he had spent 6 years living in Pennsylvania and Illinois before joining CSM. While in Pennsylvania he was a youth director at a church and took his group on a mission trip to Los Angeles through CSM. He was so touched by his exprience that he and his wife decided to join the CSM team. He worked with CSM in Los Angeles from 2003 through 2006. In the fall of 2006, he moved closer to home by becoming the City Director of the CSM Chicago site. His love for the urban poor and those in need grow as he continues his work with CSM.

Kelly Reed (right) – Chicago co-city director

Kelly is originally from Dover, a small town in south central Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Messiah College and spent 4 years in youth ministry in PA before becoming the Co-Director of CSM’s Los Angeles site in 2004. After moving to Chicago in 2006, Kelly took a brief hiatus from CSM. But her passion for the city and her desire to provide opportunities for churches to experience God’s heart for the urban poor led her back to CSM. She joined CSM’s Chicago team in October of 2007. While Kelly misses real soft pretzels, Lebanon bologna, Herr’s Salt & Vinager Chips, and her family and friends in PA, as well as the mountains and beaches of California, she is excited to be serving in the beautiful city of Chicago. Go, Cubbies!

Hannah Schultz – Chicago associate city director

Hannah is originally from East Dundee, a northwest suburb of Chicago, IL and she graduated from North Park University with a major in Biblical and Theological Studies, a minor in Psychology and a Certificate in Conflict Transformation. She hosted for CSM in the summer of 2008 and loved her experience so much that she came back and joined CSM’s Chicago team in November of 2009 in her current position. She loves the city of Chicago and is very excited about being able to serve it through CSM. During her time at North Park, Hannah was able to travel to Zambia to work with vulnerable children in impoverished communities multiple times as well as New Orleans multiple times to do hurricane relief work. Laughing is one of her favorite things to do and she is an avid Chicago sports fan who has perpetual faith that she will one day live to see the Cubs win the World Series.

Mindie Fields – apprentice

Mindie Fields grew up in Indiana and graduated from Ball State University in Muncie where she majored in Psychology as well as minored in Sociology and Counseling Psych. At Ball State, she was actively involved in the Christian Campus House where she served as President as well as a member of the praise band. Mindie has been on three mission trips: New Orleans; Appalachia, KY, and Guatemala. She was also a summer high school youth helper at her home church in Indianapolis for two summers and a City Host for CSM in Chicago the summer of 2008. In her free time, Mindie loves being outside, hanging out with her awesome friends, and laughing till it hurts. She has also inadvertently started collecting greeting cards with dachshund puppies on them. “I am excited to work with CSM in Chicago so I can discover God’s heart for the broken and learn how to love without limits!”
