Daren Beall

Daren is from Grand Prairie, TX where he was born and raised. Next year he will be a junior at the University of Oklahoma studying to be an Air Traffic Controller. Daren has been on mission trips to Mexico building churches and took a trip to Denver CSM while in college. In high school, Daren was on the student empowerment team where he went to elementary schools and mentored kids. He enjoys playing soccer and football and watching tv shows and movies. Daren thinks that he has been called to Denver to spread the love of God. He is excited for his time this summer to connect to the city on a much grander scale.

Jay Fincher

Jay Fincher is from Huntsville, AL. He graduated in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Humanities. He loves the opportunity to be in LA with CSM because he has a big love for the city and the ministry that is involved with it. He has been to many of the major cities in the US, but has never gotten to spend an extended amount of time like this and is excited. While in school, he served in various ministries such as Jr. High intern, he worked part time at a rescue mission, and worked on campus with some of those ministries. Jay worked with CSM Los Angeles as a City Host during Spring 2011. He excited to serve again this summer in Denver! “My goal for this season is to hone all of the desires in my heart into a more God-directed vocation. If that makes no sense, I want to figure out all of the passions I have and utilize them to serve the Lord more effectively.”

Juliana Jones

Juliana is originally from Centennial, CO, but she now calls Dallas, TX home. She just graduated with her Masters in Accounting and Public Relations from Southern Methodist University. She has worked with Kaleo Ministries in Dallas which leads urban mission trips much like CSM. After being really involved at SMU helping lead small groups of students through orientation and introducing them to SMU, Juliana realized that she would love to do something like that in ministry. She is passionate about the plight of the homeless and the urban poor, never forgetting Matthew 25:40. She loves SMU football and the Texas Rangers (though she does remain loyal to the Denver Broncos). Since she is always the planner in her friend group, she loves to know new and exciting things going on in the city! “After becoming familiar with the different ministries in Dallas, I always wondered what was going on with urban ministry in Denver. I love the mission of CSM as it shows us all the many ministry opportunities that we have right here in the city. Most importantly, though, it can sometimes be tempting to feel like there are too many issues in urban life to solve, whether it is because they cost too much or there is too much need. There is no need to have these thoughts, though, as we worship a God who provides the ultimate hope to all regardless of their situation here on earth!”

Eric O’Quinn

Eric grew up in Alexandria, LA, but has spent the past four years studying and living in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from LSU. He is an involved member of LSU’s Wesley Foundation and has worked several summers in youth ministry. Through these groups, Eric has worked in locations all over the United States (including a CSM trip in Chicago). He enjoys playing guitar and leads the worship band at the Wesley Foundation. “I connect deeply in worship through music and enjoy the opportunity to share that connection with others. I have a great passion for meeting new people and am excited about the chance I have to do so this summer in spreading Love on streets of Denver.”
