CSM City Journal
April 2008

Hello!
Wow! What an amazing season this has been. Thousands of young people and adults have been making an eternal impact in each of CSM's nine cities! Although the height of Spring Break has passed, we still have some Spring groups preparing to give their time and resources to serve in these exciting urban centers. Thanks for all your hard work!

For this month's CSM Impact interview, we have the opportunity to get to know Tim Osborne, faithful CSM group leader.

Come and discover the real San Francisco Bay Area - this month's City Highlight. If you'd like to learn more about serving with CSM in "the City by the Bay" , please visit our website.

Now is the time to register for your Summer 2008 trip! Hurry, though, many dates have already filled. If you haven't registered yet, please call the Home Office (949-248-8200) to find out which dates are still available.

There is so much to share about all the exciting things that are going on in the great city of Oakland.  It has been amazing moving to the San Antonio neighborhood and having the opportunity to learn more about the city, while trying to connect with various ministries and non-profits that might benefit from partnering with CSM and utilizing our volunteers.

2008 Theme - Jubilee

Attention summer groups! This year's theme will be "Jubilee" with the theme verses coming out of Luke 4:16-21 and Isaiah 61:1-9. T-shirts will be available in CSM cities at the end of May.

CSM Impact: Tim Osborne
Tim Peters
Tim Osborne started bringing groups to CSM during his first year as a youth pastor. He had never been on a mission trip before, but wanted to introduce his youth to something outside of their comfort zone. In his own words, Tim “kinda had a bad attitude about short-term missions.”
