CSM City Journal

March 2010

Hello!

"I've learned that I have a long way to go in my spiritual life because the homeless people we met this week showed more faith and knowledge of the Bible than any of us." - CSM Trip Participant

Breaking stereotypes is just one of the many things we love to do at CSM. It's exciting to be with a group as they engage in their first conversation with a new homeless friend. Or breaking bread (or pita) together as the group tries Armenian food for the first time. Or even meeting a family that recently arrived to this country and all struggling together to have a conversation while teaching English as a Second Language. Experiencing new things about this world allows us to learn more about the God who made it!

Come and discover the real New York City - this month's City Highlight. If you'd like to learn more about serving in the "Big Apple", please visit our website.

Now is the time to register for your Summer 2010 trip - it's not too late! If you haven't registered yet, please contact the Home Office (949-248-8200) to find out which dates are still available.

If you are passionate about social justice, then you have probably at least heard of the issue of human trafficking and slavery. The fact this topic is widely spoken of means that those desiring human trafficking awareness are doing their jobs, but there is so much more to do. This issue is a very real, very present issue in our world today. Whether or not you are currently passionate about social justice or fighting human trafficking, keep reading.
