Hello!
As the summer comes to a close, each of our cities
have been able to take a look back and see the fruit
of service that has happened these past few months.
Groups from Hawaii to Massachusetts have been able
to explore the role God has for them in urban
ministry by serving with CSM in the inner-city. If
you served with us this summer, we encourage you to
share your trip experiences on our blog - email us your stories!
For this month's City Highlight we're heading on
over to Chicago! Read the City Director's letter,
check out local resources and news articles. We
challenge you to get a group and serve with us in
the "Windy City"!
It is still possible to sign up
for a fall trip! If you haven't registered
yet, please call the Home Office (949-248-8200) to
find out which weeks are still available.
| Serve with CSM in '07 at '06 Rates! |

Due to increasing expenses, as of January 1, 2007,
CSM rates will increase to $61 per person per night,
with college groups able to serve for $51 per person
per night.
You can serve with CSM in 2007 at our 2006 rates if
you register by December 31, 2006.

Upon arriving to Chicago, we place expectations on
our groups. What are they going to learn? What is
going to break their hearts? Is the city going to
make them want to stay? As CSM Directors, we must make
sure our CSM Hosts keep a stable mind-set about being
the ‘leader’ of the group. Just as we send our CSM
Hosts back
home praying they will remember the things they
learned in Chicago, our CSM Hosts do the same with each
group they encounter...

Our cities need your help!
* The Houston site is in need of 25 bunk beds AND 70
mattresses.
* The Los Angeles site is in need of 40 bunk bed
mattresses (5" thick foam).
* The Nashville site is in need of window-unit or
floor-model air conditioners.
* The New York site is in need of 60-75 mattresses
(with vinyl or plastic covers).
* The San Francisco site is in need of 30-40 bunk
beds AND mattresses.
* The Toronto site is in need of a person/people who
can do basic plumbing and repairs.
* The Washington, DC site is in need of a
refrigerator.
