Rachael Burke

Rachael Burke

Rachael is currently a junior at Wheaton College studying International Relations. Although She grew up in TX, she now lives with my parents, older sister, and younger brother in Medford, NJ. She has been to Burkina Faso, Honduras, Alaska, and Philadelphia for short-term mission trips. During high school she helped lead small groups of senior high students during their Philadelphia mission trips and also helped organize and facilitate various junior and senior high activities. Rachael plays Ultimate Frisbee at the college level at Wheaton, and since going to college it has become her favorite sport. She also loves watching movies, rock-climbing, and ping-pong. “This summer I want the Lord to stretch me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I want to better understand the racial and economic injustices that are so prevalent in urban areas, and I want to more fully love and serve the people affected by these problems.”

Lindsey Crawford

Lindsey Crawford

Lindsey is from Pryor, OK. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and an emphasis in American Studies and Sociology. She has served five years at Camp Dry Gulch, a Christian Children’s Camp in OK, ministering to over 10,000 children from 6 to 12 years old each summer. She has served as a volunteer in both the Children and Youth Ministries at her home church, Church on the Move, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lindsey’s hobbies include photography, music, movies, board games, biking, water activities and friends! “My prayer for this summer is to gain direction for the next chapter in my life. This opportunity is going to grant me with wisdom, direction and strength as I transition from my life as a college student to an adult in the world of employment. I am eager to rise to the challenges set before me by my Lord as I grow in my spiritual walk as well as build relationships with students and the people of Houston who are in need.”

Kristin Flaugh

Kristin Flaugh

Kristin is from Meadville, PA and is returning to Houston for her second summer as a City Host. She majored in Social Work at Anderson University. She has previously served on mission trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, Atlanta, Jamaica, and CSM trips to Washington, DC and Toronto. She has also led a group that created a middle school after school program, volunteered at a neighborhood youth bible study in Anderson, IN, and was the Director for After School Fun in Anderson. Kristin loves the outdoors, creating videos, scrapbooking, and traveling. “My goal this summer is to build relationships with CSM students, staff, and people in the city while experiencing life-changing lessons with the students as they serve in the city.”

AJ worked with Jr. High boys as a Disciple-Now leader. Currently he is a leader in the College Ministry of First Baptist Church of Clyde. He enjoys skateboarding, camping, reading, music, hanging out with friends, and killing TVs. This summer he hopes to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to CSM and to show the love of Christ to all.
