Los Angeles Fall 2009 Team

Lily Bond
Lily is from Kenmore, WA. She graduated in May 2009 from Washington State University, with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. She hopes to attend law school in the fall of 2010. For the past four years Lily has been an active part of Campus Christian Fellowship, being involved in campus ministry. She also has been a youth group leader at her church for the past two years. She absolute loves these things: social justice, learning new things, reading (history, political, theology, non-fiction), and outdoors adventures. “I am beyond stoked to be working with CSM LA this fall. There are great things to be done in this city. I am thrilled to see how students’ lives will be changed, for the benefit of Christ’s kingdom.”

Jessica Pfanner
Jessica grew up in Bossier City, LA. She graduated from Centenary College in May 2009 with a degree in Communications: New Media and a minor in Art & Visual Culture. Jessica was introduced to mission work and taught to be the “hands and feet of Christ” at an early age through her home church, Asbury United Methodist Church. She has been blessed to serve often near her hometown in Shreveport and also in New Orleans, LA after Hurricane Katrina. Every summer since she was 12, Jessica has spent a week of her summer in Page, AZ rebuilding impoverished homes and forming a unique bond with the Navajo people. She has worked with the youth of Asbury UMC for the past two and half years. While in college, she was involved all over campus and volunteered with an urban outreach program (Shreveport-Bossier Community Renewal) in an after-school program for children. Jessica enjoys spending time with people, has a love for the arts, travelling, and tries to be an example of Christ. She was first introduced to CSM in Houston in April 2009 and ever since has been looking forward to her next opportunity to serve with CSM. “I am thrilled to be joining the CSM team in Los Angeles and am very much looking forward to what God reveals in my life and for the people I come to meet this fall!”
