Tiffany Chin
Tiffany is from Alhambra, CA (right next to
the “real Chinatown,” Monterey Park) and just graduated this fall from UCLA
with a BA in American Literature and Culture and Education. Her experience with
CSM started in 8th grade when she was a student going on short-term
missions with her church and it took her 6 trips (with Los Angeles
and San Francisco) to finally decide that she wanted to become a
city host with CSM, after a college career of teaching international
students conversational English, tutoring inner-city high schoolers
and directing a program tutoring elementary kids from Watts. She enjoys
thinking about things like liberal Christianity, social justice, critical pedagogy and
likes doing things like exploring, kayaking, hiking, tree-hugging, guitar-playing and
community service. “My desire is to revisit the self who first fell in love with Jesus,
who first marveled in His love, and I think I can find Him by serving Him in the city—
that is where my passion lies and where He makes me feel like I am living my utmost for
His highest.” |
Chris Dunford
Chris is from Spokane, WA, but has lived in
Seattle the last five years. Chris received his AA from Seattle Central Community
College and has recently finished school at the University of Washington. He likes
sports, both playing and watching (go Seahawks!). Christian rap, like Trip Lee and
the 116 Clique, has really helped him in his walk with God. Chris got interested
in CSM when he went on a mission trip to Washington DC. It really opened his eyes,
sparked a passion to serve others and a desire to see a change in this world. Chris
is very into social justice and does a lot of work regarding issues such as anti-racism.
Chris loves to read, spend time with friends and strangers, write and read a little
poetry, go snowboarding, travel and get lost in new places, and music (especially live).
"Jesus has changed my life and my perspective in such a positive way. I'm really just
into having a good time and would rather spend life laughing than being stressed out."
Chris' favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified,
do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Krissy Keckhafer
Kristina Marie Keckhafer (pronounced
Key-Kay-Fur) grew up in a small town called Eyota, MN. She went to college at
Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, MN, where she majored in Applied Psychology
and Biblical Studies. Kristina has served on a missions trip to
Trinidad and Tobago.
Kristina has worked at two different camps, Camp Victory and Camp J.I.M. (Jesus
is Mine). She has also worked at retreats, with Timber Bay (a ministry that
works with at risk youth) and tutored a fifth grade girl.
Kristina has a heart for those that are less fortunate and is excited to
learn more about the diverse cultures that make Los Angeles the great city that
it is! |
Benjamin Wiele
Ben grew up in Escalon, CA and is in the
middle of his studies at San Jose State University. He has had the opportunity
to attend CSM Los Angeles and San Francisco with his former church and decided
that in a time of transition, working with CSM would be a great learning experience.
Having worked as a host, a camp counselor, and an activities instructor at a
conference center in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, Ben realized his passion
is working alongside people and learning from those that experiences quite different
than his. He will resume his education in the fall at a school of God's choosing,
learning about something God will reveal in time. He spends his free time with
friends at coffee shops, preferably near the beach or on top of a mountain, talking
about music, Northern California sports teams, and playing basketball, tennis,
ultimate, and disc golf. "I am anxious to see how God will use us this spring as
we further the goal of bringing heaven to earth and particularly, Los Angeles." |
