Joy Boven - Joy was raised
in Ortonville, MI and Wilmore, KY. Her missions experience includes 3 trips
to CSM (Chicago, Toronto and Philly) as well as trip to San Diego/Tijuana.
She has led worship for her church and youth group and this spring assisted
the Director of Ichthus, an annual festival. She loves music, athletics,
and photography describing herself as a "wannabe adventuress."
"My goal in working with CSM students, sponsors and staff is simple:
SEE JESUS. It is the best way I know to give Jesus an opportunity to ruin
me and turn my little world upside down. |
Katherine "Katie"
Gagel - Katie is from Louisville, KY and is a junior at Murray State University
(Murray, Kentucky) majoring in Organization Communication (a.k.a. public
speaking). She is involved in Christ Ambassadors (Chi Alpha) Christian Fellowship
and has been on two mission trips, one to Nassau, Bahamas, and London, England.
Katie is on the worship team and a small group leader at her campus. Her
interests include anything involving music, evangelism, reading, coffee
shops, laughing, traveling, and volleyball. "I really want to see walls
broken down in Nashville and am extremely excited to have the opportunity
to pour into the lives of the groups, the people being ministered to and
into the ministry itself. I'm looking forward to being changed as well as
challenged by full-time ministry this summer. Isaiah 61:1!" |
Elizabeth Harper - Elizabeth
is from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee (located just outside Nashville). She has
just finished two years at Tennessee Technical University (TTU) and will
be transferring to Tennessee State University in the fall to complete a
degree in dental hygiene. At TTU, she was involved in Campus outreach and
the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her hobbies include reading, hiking,
listening to music, hanging out at coffee shops and spending time with God.
She loves animals - pigs are a special favorite. She has a heart for the
church and one day would like to be part of planting churches, where all
will be welcome and able to be part of God's family. "My goal with
CSM is to glorify God, spread His love, and learn more about His people
and creation in the city." |
Sarah Mayhall - Sarah is
a sophomore at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA studying civil engineering.
Although she was born in Luala Lumpur, Malaysia, and spent much of her life
there (seven years), she claims Texas as home (specifically, The Woodlands,
TX where she spent her senior year and her parents currently live). It was
through her church in the Woodlands that Sarah came to CSM Nashville for
a few days in the summer of 2004. She fell in love with the fellowship and
service she witnessed on her trip and had to return. This summer Sarah hopes
to draw closer to God by serving and loving His people. She enjoys softball,
volleyball, laughing, reading, photography, and anything sweet. "I'm
very excited about working with youth and witnessing God' power and grace
through them." |
Jillian Harp - Jillian

Indianapolis. She is a General Studies major. Her missions experience includes
trips to Honduras, Mexico and teaching a preschool Bible class at an inner
city ministry in Indianapolis. She is on the leadership team of her school's
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship chapter. Jillian loves music, especially
live music. She also paints, draws, crafts and likes lots of color. "At
CSM this summer, I'm really excited to work with kids who may have never
had an experience in poor urban areas. A big part of my passion for the
city is helping people open their eyes to the need there." |

She has been on mission trips to Belize, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New
