Jade Monday

Jade Monday

Jade is from Sacramento, CA and is currently taking a semester off from school. She will be continuing her education at a local city college in Sacramento. She has served with CSM in San Francisco with her college group in the summer of 2011. She loved the experience so much, she is back to serve as a City Host! She assisted in coaching the local high school boys soccer team back home. Jade enjoys sports, being outdoors, reading, writing, “In working with CSM, I hope to gain a closer realationship with God and to make a difference in at least one person’s life, even if it isn’t a huge impact. I can’t wait to meet you all and live the experiences ahead of us!”

Matthew Murphy

Matthew (Mat) Murphy

Mat grew up in Nineveh, IN (40 minutes south of Indianapolis) and recently graduated from Oakland City University (20 minutes north of Evansville, IN) with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies. He has been to South Dakota, Honduras, and the Philippines on trips to help his cultural diversity. Along with working with all ages of youth during his internship in the Philippines, he has also worked with youth in developing small groups and Bible studies as a part of two other internships in the U.S. He played tennis and ran cross country for the university while also singing in the choir. His guitar playing influences and adds to his passion of writing music both on paper and in the air by spontaneously coming up with songs. Mat’s goal for his time at CSM is to use his experiences to help relationships and lives be changed; most importantly his. He wants his eyes to be opened even more about the differences in cultures and how relationships can work from them.
