Courtney Aukerman

Courtney Aukerman

Courtney is from Wilmington, DE and graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelors degree in Family and Community Services and a concentration in Urban Youth and Substance Abuse. She also has an associate degree in American Sign Language and one in Substance Abuse Counseling. At her home church, Courtney has worked with the youth group, the contemporary worship service, the singles group, and a college/young adult Bible study. She has also worked as a substance abuse counselor and a program coordinator for 4-H and the YMCA. Courtney has participated in four CSM weekend mission trips starting with a junior high trip to Washington, DC. She started hosting with CSM the spring of 2006 in Philly and helped in Washington, DC and NYC as well. She loves all kinds of art including painting, drawing, photography, singing, and playing guitar. “I am most excited about teaching others about CSM because of the change that I have seen in my own life because of working with them in Philly and D.C. God grows people through this program, and I can’t wait to see it!”

Kenny Hiser

Kenny Hiser

Kenny is from Slippery Rock, PA and will be a senior at Penn State, University Park. He is looking at a major in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management with minors in Religious Studies and Human Development/Family Studies. For three previous summers he worked at Jumonville, a Christian summer camp in Uniontown, PA, where he was a counselor, adventure facilitator, cameraman, and dishwasher. He loves music, the outdoors, good conversations, having fun, and helping others. He worked with CSM in Philadelphia during the summer of 2005 and loved the experience so much that he decided to apply in New York for the summer of 2006. “This summer I hope to grow in my relationship with Christ while serving others. I’m excited to step out of my bubble and experience God’s love in the city.”

Robbin Kelly

Robbin Kelly

Robbin is from Denver, CO and is attending Metro State College majoring in Behavioral Science with a minor in Communications. She previously attended a summer CSM mission trip to Chicago, which helped her feel a calling into missions, specifically the inner city. Robbin loves to watch movies, knit, and listen to music. She attended school in New York last year and fell in love with NYC. She loves working with students because they have so much to give and she can learn from them. “My prayer is that every student who comes to the city this summer can find and experience God in a whole new way! God calls us all to serve, which is another way that He demonstrates His amazing love to us because the rewards from service are incredible!”

Dre Marinez

Dre Marinez

Dre joins CSM New York from Huntington Beach, California where she spent time as a preschool teacher, a children’s ministry coordinator at her church, and most recently a nanny for an adorable 18 month old. Dre loves to read anything she can get her hands on, crochet, eat ice cream and is “just a dancing fool.” Some of her past missions experience includes spring break house building trips to Mexico as well as short term trips to Fiji, Ecuador, and Africa. Dre has also been serving in the youth ministry at her church for the past eight years and hopes to someday make a career out of it. “I am excited about being in the city and having the opportunity to see students meet the living God through serving His people.”

Kyle Staley

Kyle Staley

Kyle is from Folsom, California. This year he transfered to Oklahoma Baptist University where he is a Psychology major. Over the last four years he has been active in his church’s ministry teams. Music, both listening and playing, is a passion of his that seems to take over most of his conversations. He worked with CSM in San Francisco during the summer or 2005 and loved the experience so much that he decided to apply for New York the summer of 2006. “God continually humbles me and teaches me new things. Whether in the secular world or in a church, ministry is my goal, and Christ is my model.”
