Justin Perry – Philadelphia city director and city director coordinator

Justin grew up in the far lands for southern New Jersey. He received a degree for Eastern university in Youth ministry and is currently working on a masters of nonprofit management there as well. Justin got married in 2005 to Krista (CSM Philly’s former City Director) and in March of 2009 they had their first child, Jack. He loves being a father (even though at times it is stressful) and loves seeing Jack grow everyday. Justin enjoys doing renovations on his house and loves hanging out on their new patio. He has a heart for the city of Philadelphia and for CSM. He is very excited to be with CSM again and to help groups serve the people of Philadelphia.

Tim Peterson – Philadelphia associate city director

Tim Peterson was born and raised in a Chicago suburb named Lyons. In 2006 he graduated from Knox College with a BA in Psychology and minors in History and Social Services. For two years in college he shared Christ as an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) social fraternity. It was a very humbling and growing experience because he learned how rewarding taking a risk for God can be. Moreover he realized how God treasures his people like his fraternity brothers and himself.

After college Tim interned for Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) in Chicago as a Program Assistant (PA). As a PA Tim visited with 30 lonely people who were 70 years old or older. One of the most important lessons Tim learned from these folks was how each day is one to celebrate.

Tim has enjoyed mentoring youth and his hobbies include reading, hacky-sack, basketball, and writing silly poems when he is inspired to do so.

Tim served as a City Host with CSM during the spring of 2009 and then stepped into the role of Associate City Director when the opportunity arrived. He seeks to, “wake up each morning and invite the Holy Spirit to work within the CSM students and myself for the sake of God’s glory - not people’s glory. For glory fades away if it is separated from God.”
