Michelle Drew
Michelle was born and raised in southern Ontario, Canada.
She is attending Providence College in Manitoba, where she is studying
Communications and Media. Her missions experience began at the age of
nine, when she traveled around Florida visiting nursing homes and day
care centers. When she was 13, she spent the summer in Indiana doing clown
evangelism and the following year, went to Ethiopia to help build a church.
She's also been to New Orleans, as well as China for a summer. Michelle
has passion for photography, social justice, art, sewing, road trips, and
simple living. Michelle is excited about the community service aspect of CSM
because social concerns are a foundational part of Christianity and CSM
provides a practical way for people to get educated and involved. "I fell
in love with Philadelphia on previous visits, so after working with CSM in
Toronto the summer of 2005, it is a huge blessing to be able to serve here
this summer 2006."

Joy Gay
Joy was born and raised in Midland, MI and attends
Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. She has a triple major in
Elementary Education, Planned Curriculum, and Spanish. Joy likes running,
reading, relaxing, traveling and trying new things. She recently studied
in Latin America for a semester. Joy has worked with a women's crisis
shelter and volunteered at a homeless shelter in Grand Rapids. "I am
excited to work with CSM's faith based mission to expose and educate
fellow believers about realities different than their own and because of
the prayer based attitude CSM takes towards encouraging change."

Christie Lobbezoo
Christie is originally from Grand Rapids, MI.
She is attending Central Michigan University with a major in Sociology
and minor in Youth Studies and Leadership. She has been on four different
mission trips, including three to Asheville, NC for home and playground
renovations, and one to Philadelphia with CSM. Over the past three years
Christie has developed a love for working with the junior high students at
church and has had the opportunity to be their leader for weekly meetings,
conferences, and retreats. Also at church, she has played softball with the
church team, the Ligers, for three entertaining seasons. While at school,
Christie stays involved with Hall Council, campus programs, leadership
conferences, and intramural volleyball. She is excited to meet new people and
to establish friendships with both the CSM staff and incoming groups. "When
I was in Philly last summer, I felt a calling to come back to the city, and
now I can't wait to see what God has in store! Over the summer I want to
experience a whole new culture while serving God to the fullest."
