Jessica Lapp
Jessica is from Amarillo, TX but now currently lives in College Station, TX because of school. She is an International Studies/Spanish major at Texas A&M University, class of 2012! She loves going on mission trips! She has been on 3 Casas por Cristo trips to Juarez, Mexico, and 3 trips to Managua, Nicaragua where we worked with medical clinics, schools, and orphanages. Jessica is currently part of a ministry in College Station called Youth Impact. They do Bible studies and discipleship time with inner–city kids. She is also a part of an organization called Aggies in Mission. Her biggest hobbies are just hanging out with her friends and playing sports! She’s on an intramural basketball and sand volleyball team so those keep her super busy. “I am so excited and blessed to have to opportunity to work with CSM and share the love of God with his people!”

Josh Miller
Josh is originally from Broadway, VA and calls the Shenandoah Valley home with his family currently living in the Waynesboro area. He just finished his second year at Goshen College in Goshen, IN where he studies Interdisciniplary Studies with focuses in Peace and Justice Studies, Internationals Studies and Art. At age 16 Josh took part in a two week service trip to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and San Antonio, Texas. The next year he took two of his friends on a similar service trip in Montréal, Quebec in Canada. Just out of high school, Josh was part of a nine month journey with International Teams African Quest program in southern Africa. After his first year in College he was part of the staff with the short term mission’s organization DOOR, in Chicago. Josh loves the outdoors, anything that has to do with understanding other cultures and art, including photography and painting. Josh says he’s ready to “seek and live out what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus by getting to learn and know from the inner city.”

Katherine Pater
Katherine is from Brookfield, WI. She is a double major in Political Science and Religious Studies who will graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in May 2009. A mission trip she took with her campus church to inner–city Chicago changed her life by igniting her interest in urban ministry. Katherine has spent the last 7 years teaching Irish Dance to children and young adults, and she has worked at a Girl Scout camp, as well. Katherine enjoys reading (anything with words on it), dancing, running, Kendo, spending time with her friends and family, practicing her Spanish, and trying to teach herself to play the guitar: a musical skill for which she has no natural propensity whatsoever. Katherine hopes to expose CSM students to a side of America and a side of the Kingdom that they may never have seen before, and share with others her passion for social justice.

Megan Claire Smith
Megan’s hometown is wherever she is at the moment – she grew up across Canada and the world. She is currently a first–year student at the University of Toronto studying Peace & Conflict Studies. After high–school, she did a mission year in the downtown eastside of Vancouver and a mission summer in rural Saskatchewan. Before that, Megan worked at camp for three summers. She co–led a weekly teen group for girls ages 13–15. Her passions are unity in the body of Christ, social justice and discipleship. On the side, she is a performer (singer/musician) and loves to daydream. “My goal this summer is to learn and to lead. I want to learn what God wants to teach me and I want to introduce students to an area close to my heart – urban mission – and help them find their own calling, wherever and whatever it may be.”

Tricia Snyder
Tricia was born in Nampa, ID. She just finished her fifth and final year at Northwest Nazarene University. She graduated with an Applied Studies degree, but throughout school studied youth ministries and graphic design. She's been on a couple mission trips throughout her life, but some of her favorites were to New York city with her university, to Australia with Youth in Mission, and of course her very first mission trip to San Fransisco with CSM. Throughout college, Tricia was involved with the local youth group at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene. She went on a mission trip with them, and led a young women’s Sunday school lesson. Tricia loves tv. She is a child of the 90’s and proud of it. Most of her tv watching happens with her family and is always thankful for that time. “My goal for this summer is to step beyond myself and delve deeper into the heart of Christ. I’m excited to get to know the new people I will meet, and hopefully help them gain a better understanding of their purpose and worth in Christ.”
