Celisa Alford
Celisa is from the small town of Eureka, KS. She will
be a senior at Oklahoma Baptist University, majoring in Sociology with minors in
Biology and Psychology. She is involved in Big Brothers-Big Sisters and has led
Disciple Now and Vacation Bible School for her church. Celisa also plays JV Softball
for OBU. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors, playing sports, reading, and
watching KU Basketball. Celisa hosted for CSM in Chicago last summer and is still
amazed by the impact it had on her life. She is super excited to work with the
people of San Francisco and to see what experiences God has in store for her this summer.

Richard Gadberry
Rich is a senior majoring in history at California State
University Monterey Bay. He has spent the last two summers working at Mission
Springs Christian Camps. This summer is his first experience working with CSM.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to see God working in San Francisco and to
be a part of urban ministry.”

Sara Kandt
Sara is originally from Lexington, KY. She graduated
from the University of Evansville, majoring in Psychology and minoring in
Sociology (with a clinical social work focus). She has served in Mexico twice
(building houses) and as a City Host for CSM in Nashville last summer. Sara
interned at Aurora working with case managers and their outreach team to the
homeless of Evansville. She loves people, music, writing, art, Scrabble,
elbows, social justice, reading, hammocks, flip flops, heights and climbing
things. "Having the privilege of serving with CSM changed my heart forever
and I'm starting to learn and care more about social justice issues. I can't
wait to continue and see how He is going to shape and mold me, and I'm so
thankful for another summer with CSM."

Christie Lobbezoo
Christie is from Grand Rapids, MI and is attending
Central Michigan University with a major in Sociology and minors in
Leadership and Youth Studies. She has a passion for playing sports,
especially volleyball, and enjoys watching football, going to the beach,
and spending time with family and friends. While at school this past
year, she was involved with intramural sports, Barnes Hall Eboard,
leadership conferences, and Lifegroup with my church. Currently, she is
directing a show for a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of violence
towards women. Christie has been on four different mission trips, including
three to Asheville, NC for home and playground renovations, and one to
Philadelphia with CSM. In the summer of 2006, she had the opportunity
to be a city host with CSM Philadelphia. “It was a wonderful learning
experience and God really opened my eyes to a new form of ministry and
service. I truly felt his calling to work with the youth. This summer, I
look forward to building new relationships while experiencing God’s grace
to the fullest. It is a huge blessing to be able to serve God through the
inner city of San Francisco.”

James "Jimmy" Marshall
Jimmy is from Sparks, Nevada. He is a Junior at the
University of Nevada-Reno and is a Math major, minoring in Photography.
He has gone on five mission trips: two to Mexico, one to Costa Rica, and
two to San Francisco with CSM. He leads a Bible study and helps the music
team for the high-school youth group at his home church in Sparks. When
not in class, Jimmy likes to do just about anything outdoors, including:
hiking, camping, hunting, driving, taking pictures, relaxing, reading, or
sleeping. He also loves to play music and take lots of pictures when it
is too cold outside for any of the aforementioned outdoor activities. He
is looking forward to meeting lots of new people and being involved with
the various ministries in San Francisco!

Kara Shull
Kara is originally from Atlantic, IA. She is
currently studying Communication and Pre-Med at the University of Tulsa.
She has been on mission trips to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (to build an orphange),
Jamaica (to build houses) and Mexico City, Mexico (medical missions). She has
worked as a camp counselor and a nurse over the past few summers and helps out
with church ministries. Kara loves people, spending time with friends and family,
playing sports (especially soccer), running, being outdoors, trying to play the
guitar, and shopping when she has the extra money to spare. "My prayer for this
summer is that I can share Christ's love through my words and actions to every
person I come into contact with. I also pray that my passion and love for Jesus
will continue to grow and spread to all of those I will be working with and leading."

Emily Simon
Emily is originally from sunny San Diego, CA. She is
currently a junior at the University of San Francisco studying politics. She
is very active in her Intervarsity Christian Fellowship group at school and
loves serving in the city. She is fascinated by different cultures and languages.
She even plans on studying Mandarin in the fall! College basketball is one of
her passions, especially the USF Dons. "I'm very excited to be working in San Francisco
this summer with CSM, and my goal is that the groups that come here to serve
will see Jesus in the people they meet."

Mayonne Thomas
Mayonne was born and raised in Guyana, South America. She has
lived in New York for about four years and attends Plattsburgh State University in
Plattsburgh NY. She is a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She
volunteered with CSM last spring and with the youth group at her school. She has
worked with junior high girls in the summer of 2005 as a camp counselor in Greely,
Pennsylvania. She is currently the president of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on
campus at Plattsburgh. She enjoys meeting new people, seeing new places and trying
new things. Her goal this summer is to grow in her relationship with God and to get
a better understanding of ministry and serving in the inner city. "I chose San Francisco
because I'm looking for a unique experience in an unfamiliar place."

Lisa Trump
Lisa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago.
She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Masters in Community
Counseling. The past couple of years she has worked at an emergency mental
health care center for low-income adults and a residential facility for
struggling teens. She has spent summers with CSM in Houston and San Francisco
and now she is back for more! In her free time, Lisa enjoys playing sports,
reading, running, biking and doing anything outdoors.

Vincent Wong
Vincent was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He is
a junior at California Sate University, Sacramento, majoring in Criminal
Justice and minoring in Spanish He has been on five missions trips to
Mexico (between ‘98 and ’03) and to Ecuador in ‘94. On both trips their
team encouraged the local church of believers, shared the gospel with the
community, and hosted a vacation bible school for the kids in the surrounding
community. In the summers of ‘03 and ‘05 Vincent went on missions trips to
inner-city Los Angeles with CSM.
He was also a counselor at his church’s junior high summer camp, led small
group for high school guys and is currently an active member of his church’s
college fellowship.
Vincent really likes to play sports, especially basketball. His new favorite
sport is outdoor rock climbing, which he just went for the first time in April!
“I am spending the summer in San Francisco with CSM because in serving the
urban poor in Jesus’ name I am serving Christ. My goal in working with CSM
students is to help them experience God in totally new ways and to know His
heart better by serving and loving others in the inner-city.”
