Lauren Aubin

Lauren Aubin

Lauren is from the Gem State! Boise, ID to be exact. She will be a junior at Boise State University, majoring in Social Work, with a minor in Spanish. She has been on mission trips to Portland, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco (with CSM). She worked as a CSM Host in Philadelphia in Summer 2010; where she really fell in love with working with youth and ministering to those in the city at the same time. Lauren enjoys being outdoors, dancing, Facebook, and hanging out with friends. “My heart is set in urban ministry. Being in the city brings my heart closer to Him, and I want the visiting students to be able to share that experience. Here the students, along with myself, really get to experience what it’s like to help the ‘least of these’ that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 25. Ministering in the city really opens our eyes to what he sees and breaks our hearts for what breaks his.”

Laura Brady

Laura Brady

Laura is from Long Island, NY. She just graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA in May of 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology. Laura has been on mission trips to Kenya, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and went on a trip with CSM to Washington DC. She has been an intern/youth leader for her youth group back home for the past two summers, and went on the CSM trip to DC as a leader with her Jr High youth group. She loves being outside, playing frisbee, guitar, and coffee - so much that you might call her a coffee connoisseur. One of her favorite things to do is find new coffee shops to read in. A random fact about Laura is that she can solve a Rubik’s Cube in 2 minutes! “I fell in love with the city of San Francisco when I studied here for a semester and I can’t wait to make it my home once again. I am passionate about investing in students by loving and encouraging them and am also passionate about ending poverty and bringing hope to the hopeless and love to the lost. I’m excited to work with CSM because it’s a job where I can combine my two passions!”

Kirstin Clark

Kirstin Clark

Kristin is from Bryant, AR. She is a junior majoring in nursing at the Baptist Health College of Little Rock. She has been on a mission trip to Washington, DC through CSM, to Costa Rica and multiple parts of Mexico. She is involved on her church’s mission team. They are responsible for motivating the church to participate in surrounding mission opportunities. Kristin attends outreach ministries, Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship and Breakthrough College Ministry. These ministries are for students to come together and fellowship. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching the New Orleans Saints football team dominate, hiking and running, singing, and drawing. Her life goal is to serve God for the rest of her life through Medical Missions and Urban/International Missions. “My goal in working with CSM students is to challenge them to get out of their comfort zones and to surrender to the plan that God has for them while they are attending CSM. I am spending the summer with CSM because of my passion to expand my knowledge on different cultures and to demonstrate God’s love for all.”

Hannah Schundler

Hannah Schundler

Hannah is from New Jersey and just graduated this past May from Gordon College in Massachusetts with a degree in International Affairs. Hannah has always had a huge interest in the peoples and cultures of the world. Her travels have taken her all over the world, which have taught her so much about who God is. Though she is an East Coast girl, California feels like home to her and the Bay Area has always had a special place in her heart. During her senior year of high school, Hannah went on a CSM trip to New York City, which completely opened her eyes to her neighbors in New York, as well as to the work God was doing in the city. This began an interest in urban ministry and engagement, which has only deepened over the past four years. During college, Hannah got more involved with urban development in the city of Lynn, MA. She also spent a semester in San Francisco, which exposed her to the diversity of peoples and issues in the city. Hannah is so excited to work with CSM this summer - it has been a dream of hers to be a CSM host since that trip to NYC four years ago. She can’t wait to meet the teams who come and watch God work in and through them for His glory.

Maggie Sturdevant

Maggie Sturdevant

Maggie is from Geneva, IL. She will be a junior at High Point University, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Anthropology. She has been on two house building mission trips in Juarez, Mexico, Tennessee, Philadelphia (with CSM) and Honduras on a medical mission trip. This will be her second summer in the Bay Area with CSM and she is very excited to return. In high school, Maggie worked a lot with the middle school ministry and currently volunteers at her church’s youth ministry. She enjoys anything that involves the outdoors such at rock climbing, camping, and hiking. She also listens to lots of music, love books, watching movies, photography and baking (especially cookies). “I am beyond excited to have another summer serving with CSM and can’t wait to see what God has in store myself and others. I hope to be able to love on the people in the Bay Area and hope to spread my passion and love of Jesus and serving to the youth in America.”
