Steve Grant
Steve grew up in Whitby, Ontario and came to work in the city of
Toronto when he was in his twenties. He worked in the business core for over 20 years,
predominately for Canada Trust and Noranda Mines. At 55, the company downsized and
Steve was let go. After unsuccessful attempts at finding new work, his savings ran dry,
and Steve found himself setting out on a new journey. He ended up at the Sanctuary
Community in Toronto. For the past 6 years, Steve has been actively involved at
Sanctuary volunteering as an outreach worker and leading groups on streetwalks.
This has lead him into partnership with CSM where he will be working as a host
starting this spring. "I'm excited about the groups that are to come and eager to
help them learn about Toronto and to serve God here in the city and back in their
home communities"
