Roseanne Baker
Roseanne was born and raised in Santa Barbara,
CA. She just finished her junior year as a Psychology Major as Azusa
Pacific University and recently returned from a semester abroad studying
Psychology of the Homeless Individual at Oxford University in England.
Roseanne worked at CSM Los Angeles for several weeks last summer, and is
excited to be part of the CSM team this summer. She has been on several
mission trips to San Francisco through her university, which inspired her
interest in urban missions. During her time at Azusa Pacific, Roseanne has
been involved in a ministry called OASIS, which works with homeless teenagers
in Hollywood. This past summer she worked at a camp in Santa Barbara for low
income kids called Fun In The Sun. In her free time, Roseanne loves to play
piano, jog on the beach, travel and be adventurous. She also has a great
affinity for Mexican cuisine. This summer at CSM, Roseanne hopes her reliance
in God will be deepened and prays that she will never become numb to the
problems of the city.

Alison Bisesi
Alison is from Twinsburg, OH. She currently attends
Cleveland State University, majoring in Urban/Non-Profit Service Administration.
She's been on missions trips to Toronto, Philadelphia, spent a summer in high
school traveling the southern states, and traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi two
times to assist in hurricane relief. In Cleveland, she's tutored and played
sports with kids and spent an incredibly fun summer as a Jr. High camp counselor
in MI. One day, Alison hopes to use sports as a tool for development in a low
income area. She loves playing tennis, basketball, frisbee, watching reality
shows, documentaries, and tea. "I cannot wait for this summer in DC; to grow
because of the people I encounter and to be encouraged by staff and students
who are excited to love God and the people of DC."

Ethan Frey
Ethan was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and now
attends Westminster College. He has been on one official mission trip,
which was to Washington, DC with CSM. Ethan hopes to take several more
trips in the future, including Malawi, Africa next May. Ethan tutored
younger children while in high school, volunteered at soup kitchens,
Meals-on-Wheels, various dinners for the homeless through his home
church, and other food banks and food drives in his area. His favorite
hobbies include running, playing basketball, reading, and listening to
music. He has been playing basketball since he was a little kid and
loves to do anything athletic or outside. But at night, Ethan loves to
wind down to a good book or his ipod. "Over the summer, I hope to grow
as an individual and also grow closer to the ways of the Lord. I hope to
make a difference in at least on person’s life and help my fellow
missionaries grow as well. I hope to help as many people as I can and
spend each day serving the Lord."

Heather Knight
Heather is from Cincinnati, OH. She is
studying Human Services at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.
She has been on mission trips to South Carolina and Ecuador, several
trips to Monterrey, Mexico, and had an 8-week internship in Monterrey.
Heather worked at Vacation Bible Schools, after school programs, and
in children’s homes in Mexico and South Carolina. She was on leadership
team at her youth group in high school and also worked as an inner-city
camp counselor for 11-16 year old girls. She likes to paint, draw, take
pictures, being outside, playing sports, traveling, and being with people.
“Over the summer, I would like to learn how to better minister to youth as
well as more about inner-city ministry. I want God to show me more of my
strengths and weaknesses so that I can grow.”

Canaan Merchant
Canaan is from Powhatan, VA and just finished
his sophomore year at George Mason University where he is studying
Global Affairs and Non-Profit Studies. In High School, Canaan traveled
to Peru and Ecuador to work with various children's ministry and has
traveled to New Orleans twice in order to assist with Hurricane Katrina
relief efforts. He is heavily involved with the Campus Crusade for Christ
movement at school and plays the drums on their worship team. Music is big
part of Canaan's life and not a lot of things get in the way of that
passion (George Mason Basketball is one of those things - he tries to make
it to every Patriot home game). Canaan is excited about his opportunity
to serve with CSM this summer and minister to the needs of people that are
practically in his own backyard.

Stacey McKotch
Stacey is from Sugar Grove, PA. She is a
recent graduate of Geneva College with a B.S. in Mathematics Education,
and is currently a substitute teacher. She has been on two mission trips
to Jamaica, and also volunteered and organized workdays for Habitat for
Humanity and Hosanna Industries. While student teaching in China, she had
the opportunity to minister to students and locals in China. As a trained
teacher she has spent lots of time working with students in classroom
settings. Beyond the classroom, she coached a junior high girls’ basketball
team and assisted with VBS at her church. Stacey recently co-founded a young
adults group for twenty something Christians in her community. Her hobbies
include playing basketball, frisbee, hiking, canoeing, and engaging in the arts.
"I am excited to serve with CSM in DC! I look forward to the opportunity to
grow and learn, spiritually and personally, while helping others experience
the same growth as we encounter the city through service."

Katie Osburn
Katie is from Cypress, CA and is currently
attending Biola University as a nursing major. Through nursing she
has been able to spend some time in Mexico and working at a homeless
clinic in Santa Ana. In high school she was able to go to Chinle, AZ
and work on a reservation doing construction type things. Katie’s spent
some time working as a junior high girl’s discipleship leader. She loves
being outside, hiking, running, reading, eating, sleeping, listening to
music, and nearly any activity that can be done outside. “I am stoked to be
spending the summer in DC with CSM. I am ready to be challenged alongside
the students, sponsors, and staff; and through those challenges see God work.”

Meaghan Robertson
Meaghan has moved all over, but her parents currently
live in Bowie, MD. She attends Vanderbilt University, majoring in Anthropology
and Biology. She has been a camp counselor in Kiev, Ukraine and taught VBS to
children in the Dominican Republic. She has also been on inner-city trips to
Kansas City and Miami. She currently works with Young Life Capernaum in Nashville
as a leader for high school kids with disabilities and serves on the Missions
Committee for her local campus ministry. Her hobbies include playing the guitar,
piano, and any type of sport, being a science nerd, learning ancient languages,
and obsessively watching The Office.
“I am so excited about the passionate community that will be established at CSM
this summer. I also look forward to helping kids learn (as well as learning myself)
not only compassion and a desire to help the people of D.C., but how to genuinely
love them, form relationships with them, and view them as God does.”
