Zachary Adams

Zachary Adams

Zac’s hometown is Ithaca, situated in upstate NY. He will be a junior psych major at Gordon College in the fall. Zac is very involved in his church, and has been on missions trips to St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Mexico. For the past two years he has volunteered and interned in church youth ministry. “I am the youngest and most attractive of five children, and enjoy singing, playing guitar, exploring the outdoors, playing games both physical and stationary as long as there are other people to play with. My joy is found in the one who rescued me from my sin, Jesus Christ. My hope in coming to work at CSM is to honor God and to help others have fun busting out of their comfort zones to serve God.”

Taylor Duggan

Taylor Duggan

Taylor is from St. Louis, Missouri. She just completed her sophomore year at Missouri Baptist University as a Human Services major with a double minor in Psychology and Religion. She has been on mission trips to Chicago (CSM), Washington D.C. (CSM), Denver (CSM), New York City (CSM), and Haiti. She has worked as a youth leader at the church she grew up in and has led multiple Bible studies and discussions at weekend retreats for different churches in the St. Louis area. Nothing makes her happier than working with people and watching God change their hearts. One day, she hopes to open an orphanage in an undeveloped country and share the Gospel with the people there. In her free time, she likes to run, try new things, bake, read, and laugh. “I am excited for what God is going to do this summer in DC. I want to show the youth (and leaders) the need in this city and teach them how they can bring what they learn back to their own city.”

Anna Harrison

Anna Harrison

Anna was born and raised in Asheville, NC. She will be a junior in the fall at Covenant College, studying Middle Grades Education. Anna has enjoyed working with teens for the last two summers at an all-girls camp and has served as a leader in her youth group in Chattanooga. In highschool, Anna spent several weeks in the Dominican Republic where she was exposed to both material and spiritual poverty. Claiming the mountains as home, Anna loves her Chacos, a long hike and that “alive” feeling you get after jumping into really cold water. This summer, she is thrilled to venture up to DC and experience something new by serving in an urban setting alongside youth from all over the nation. She is excited to see the Kingdom with fresh eyes and to grow and be changed as the Lord teaches her about his heart this summer.

Stephanie Laurence

Stephanie Laurence

Stephanie is from Hopkinton, MA. She is a Sophomore at Gordon College where she is studying Sociology. She has taken mission trips to Costa Rica, San Francisco (CSM) and Washington DC (CSM). Stephanie was a Junior High leader at her youth group and was on the leadership planning teams for weekend retreats. She participated in Bible Studies throughout High School and college. She also formed a Prayer Ministry at Gordon. Stephanie comes from a family of 6 (2 brothers, 1 sister and her parents). She absolutely loves the ocean and coffee. Stephanie served with CSM Washington DC as a City Host Summer 2010 and helped out the site during Spring 2011 as well.“My heart is to be able to see the students (and leaders) I worked alongside this summer to have at least a taste of the heart that CSM gave me when I worked with them as a student. And to have fun while we’re doing it!”

Michael Liu

Michael Liu

Michael is from Rochester, NY. He just finished his freshman year studying Business at Syracuse University. He served in Toronto with CSM in 2009, went to Wildwood, NJ, and has participated in Rochester inner-city missions trip called “Flower City Work Camp” for 5 years. Michael has worked with younger children at his home church and been involved with Campus Crusade for Christ and Baptist Campus Ministry at SU. He is an avid fan of the Buffalo Sabres, Bills, and of course, the Syracuse Orange. “Over the past few years, I have learned a lot about my faith and God’s plans during Missions Trips. I am looking forward to helping CSM students learn about their faiths as well as I know first-hand how important that is. I am serving with CSM because that is what God wants me to do.”

Ashley Peterson

Ashley Peterson – Super Host

Ashley is from York, PA. She attends the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA where she is studying biology and sociology. She has participated in work trips and service trips to upstate New York, Bay St Louis MS, Nashville TN and Washington DC. Since starting school three years ago, Ashley have occasionally assisted with the church youth group, worked with and tutored African refugees and served as the Missions Coordinator and Woman’s Bible Study leader at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries on campus. When she is not busy with school work or other commitments, she can typically be found hanging out with friends for dinner, a movie night or walks around the beautiful downtown area. Ashley also enjoys cooking; stargazing and every now and then exercising her creative brain with writing very brief poems or pieces of prose. Ashley served with CSM Washington DC as a City Host Spring 2011 and Summer 2010. “I cannot wait to share the passion for the people of Washington DC that God has placed on my heart with those I meet through this experience. I am even more excited about the things God is going to teach me and the ways He is going to challenge me through every person I encounter this summer.”
