Washington, D.C. Spring Staff 2006
|
Laura Gillaspy - Laura is from Wilmington,
Delaware and used to come to the D.C. site with her church's youth group.
She lived in Ghana, West Africa last year after graduating from Bucknell
University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught first and
second graders at a Christian school for students who used to live on the
streets of the capital city. Laura has also worked with middle and high
school students at a Christian summer camp in Maryland. She loves her family
and friends, reading and writing, coining catchphrases, and city life. "I am
excited to help students open their hearts to the people of the city, like
my experiences with CSM in high school did for me."
|
Sarah Bufter - Sarah is a native of Fort
Myers, Florida. She attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, graduating
in 2003 with a degree in French and in Religion. Since then she has had the
opportunity to serve with E.C.H.O, an agricultural ministry in her hometown,
and with Habitat for Humanity in Mooresville, NC. She's a fan of art, travel,
and lazy blockbuster nights with friends. She is new to CSM, but is looking
forward to serving Jesus in the guise of the people of Washington, DC, and
encouraging students to do the same while seeking God's will for themselves
and their hometown.

Rachel Branch - Rachel is
from Knoxville, Tennessee and attends the University of Tennessee at Martin.
She will be graduating in December with a degree in Human Learning K-8.
Mission trips she has been on include working in a landfill in Mexico City,
VBS in North Carolina, and home repair in rural Appalachia. She loves spending
time with her incredible family and friends, reading, and watching football;
especially the Tennessee Volunteers. "The summer or 2005 I come to DC with
an open heart, ready to see what God has in store for me."
